i apologize for the pee comment. i am a puppy person, just never liked the spaniels. but, to each his own.

i am here to encourage you to really dig deep in the naming department. i absolutely hate it when people name their animals stupid cliche pet names. they don't have to be off the walls, but no fluffy, spot, etc. f'instance. i have 3 cats. cat #1 - chipper. named after chipper jones. since i have gotten this cat, the yankees have not won the world series. he's our sports good luck charm. we rub him on the tv. he bats at pitchers. it's good. cat #2 - hendrix. after jimi. i got him home, he immediately went for the catnip mouse, got a whiff, and laid there stoned out of his gourd. i needed a good druggie rockstar name, and layne just didn't work. cat #3 - kika. hawaiian for tiger. she is a hunter, and a force to be reckoned with, and i have a friend who names all her critters hawaiian names, so i took a page out of her book.

what's her personality like? that's what should determine her name. because the world does not need another animal with white paws to be named mittens.

since a cocker spaniel is a british breed, this may be a good start.

Domino.
due to her spotted feet, and also it goes well with Bingo, our Jack Russell.

It's also Latin for "lord."
